Wildfire Safety
MountainBrook Village proudly participates in the Firewise USA® program to help reduce wildfire risk and protect homes, residents, and surrounding desert landscapes. Through community awareness, vegetation management, and proactive safety planning, residents play an important role in helping keep the neighborhood safer and better prepared during wildfire season.
Superstition Fire and Medical District
The Superstition Fire and Medical District is a political subdivision of the State of Arizona, legally established in 1955 under what is now ARS § 48-261. The fire district was formed by a majority of property owners and registered voters, who petitioned the Pinal County Board of Supervisors to create a special taxing district for the express purpose of providing fire protection services to the community.

Knox Box Information
A Knox Box is a secure key safe that mounts on the wall of a building. The only keys available to open the box are in the possession of the fire company.
To obtain a Knox Box device or system, please visit the Knox Box website. Please reference department name Superstition Fire & Medical District when purchasing. For additional information contact the SFMD 480-982-4440.
Pinal County Emergency Notification System (PENS)
It is Pinal County's tool to notify residents of any impending or current emergency where action by residents may be necessary. PENS utilizes the Genasys Emergency Management software.
A PENS alert notifies residents when an emergency is immediately impacting their community, and they may need to take action. These notifications are usually reserved for more severe situations where life or property may be threatened. They can also be used in situations such as a weather alert or wildfire, where time is of the essence, and immediate notification is imperative.
Pedestrian, Bicycle & Golf Cart Lane — Not for Cars
The wide lane next to the curb on MountainBrook Village roads is reserved for pedestrians, bicycles, and golf carts. It is not a driving, passing, or right-turn lane for cars.
To help keep everyone safe:

🚶 Pedestrians: Walk facing traffic whenever possible.

🚲 Bicyclists: Use the curb lane and merge into the traffic lane only when passing.

🛺 Golf Carts: Use the curb lane but merge into the traffic lane to safely pass pedestrians or bicyclists before returning to the curb lane.
Remember:

Golf carts must be licensed, insured, and driven by a licensed driver.

Golf carts are permitted on MBV streets because the speed limit is 35 mph or less.

Although some roads may appear wide enough for four lanes, the curb lane is not for automobiles.
