Shade Expansion 2026
The project proposes a total of nine (9) new shade structures throughout MountainBrook Village. It includes six (6) pergolas providing coverage for the Bocce Ball area, Canyon Cookout, and roughly one-third of the Fired Arts Patio, as well as three (3) cantilever umbrellas for the Pool Area. Each structure was carefully selected to meet the specific needs of its location, ensuring both functionality and comfort for residents and guests. Bids for the project totaled $46,000, and the board has approved funding of up to $55,000 to allow for any necessary adjustments or contingencies. Funding will come from the Future Development Fund, which supports ongoing improvements to recreational amenities throughout MountainBrook Village.
The vote will open on Monday, March 9, 2026, and close on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at noon. Results will be announced shortly thereafter.
